Greatest Comeback I've Ever Witnessed

I was lucky enough to be in the building for the Phillies' game 4 NLCS walk off victory. I would like to write about it as though I'm reporting on it. I'd love to be able to jot down a story and go off to bed, like I did after game 3, but I don't think that is possible. I feel like I did last year following game 5.2 of the World Series. I was up all night, unable to come down off of that Phillies high. I have the same feeling right now.

You all know what happened. I don't need to tell you all a story about the game. It's very likely you've got the image of Jimmy Rollins lacing that double off Jonathan Broxton burned in you brain, frame by frame already. I know I do.

With two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, my lady began to collect her things, strapping her purse on across herself. I shot her a quick look as though to convey, "What are you doing?" She shot back, "I'm getting ready to go." I replied, "I'm getting ready to WIN!" Wow!

There isn't a single detail about this night that isn't vivid in my mind right now and I want it to stay that way. The roller coaster ride was tremendous. Ryan Howard, Joe Blanton, James Loney, Matt Kemp, Casey Blake, Chase Utley, Manny Ramirez, George Sherrill, Brad Lidge, Jonathan Broxton, Matt Stairs, Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Ruiz!

I have never had more fun driving home from a game. I jumped from station to station on the radio listening to Scott Franzke's call over and over, pumping my fist each time I heard Larry Andersen yipping and wooing in the back ground.

As I write this, I continue to look over at the TV, MLB Network and ESPNews are my best friends right now. Time is going by quicker than I'd prefer. It's very late...and while the Phillies high is not wearing off, sleepy eyes are starting to set in and I am wondering if my tired body will bother me more tomorrow than my 150+ times high fived hand is bothering me right now. Here's hoping my dreams and your's are half as good as what I just lived tonight. For PhoulBallz, this is your boy, Jay Ballz, signing off.

i heard it on WIP today but watching barkann and ricky bo flip out was the best reaction ever. its so great to see the fan come out in those guys

Rappers in Phillies Caps

Weekend greetings to you phine pholks out there. Today's post features pictures of rappers wearing Phillies caps. Why rappers in Phillies caps, you ask? Because... Any other questions? We will start things off properly by going with a highly recognizable hip hop star. 50 Cent stays constantly relavant by consistantly creating radio friendly material to help sell (G) units, while he "keeps it real" by still rapping about the thug life he lived before becoming the 2nd highest earning black entertainer in America. 50 is seen here in a recent interview rocking a throw-back Phillies cap. Next up we'll use a throw-back screen cap from what may be the very first major appearance by a rapper wearing Phillies gear. Chuck D, of legendary rap group Public Enemy, wore a Phillies cap in the music video for rap anthem Fight The Power in 1989. Phils Toying with Pro Wrestling Appearances?

Total Non-stop Action (TNA) Wrestling is holding its monthly pay per view program at the Liacouras Center on April 19th. A few weeks back, wrestling champ "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash visited the Phillies in Clearwater and TNA shot some footage of Nash chatting it up with our Phillies. Former World Wrestling Champ Nash seemed interested in recruiting some of the World Baseball Champs for appearances at the April Lockdown show. Brett Myers, Geoff Jenkins, Shane Victorino, Ryan Howard and even the skipper Charlie Manuel are all seen spending time with Nash. Myers even takes time to tell Nash about the Philadelphia phans and what to expect from the crowd. In an additional note tying the Phillies and TNA Wrestling, Mrs. Hamels' Survivor and Playboy friend, Jenna Morasca is now employed by TNA in a yet to be announced on-air role.
