Phils Acquire Revere, May Reacts to Trade

May was a top Phillies prospect The Phillies made a deal on Thursday to fill a defensive gap in center field, acquiring speedster Ben Revere from the Twins for starting pitcher Vance Worley and pitching prospect Trevor May . Revere, a 24-year-old lefty hitter, posted a .294 batting average along with 40 stolen bases in 124 games for Minnesota last season. The right-handed Worley sports an 18-13 record along with a 3.50 ERA in 53 big league contests.  The 25-year-old was the selected by the Phillies in the 3rd round of the 2008 draft. May, also a right-hander was ranked as the Phillies' top prospect by PhilliesNation.com in this year's preseason prospect rankings.  The Phils' 4th round draft choice in 2008, sported a 10-13 record with a 4.87 ERA and a 9.08 K/9 mark with Double-A Reading this year. The Nationals' efforts to take back their park have earned big time attention from the media and fans alike, but for the teams on the field it will simply be the first of several series this season against a formidable division rival.
