Mike Dabbs, who was promoted to the Phillies class A affiliate Lakewood BlueClaws, from short season Williamsport in July, has hit safely in 19 of the 21 games he has played as a BlueClaw. Dabbs was a 17th round draft selection by the Phillies in the June 2009 amateur draft, out of Oklahoma State University. Currently riding a 10 game hitting streak, the 23-year-old Dabbs is making it difficult for Lakewood manager Mark Parent to not list his name in the daily lineup. I recently spoke with Dabbs, a lefty hitting outfielder, about his hitting streak, his teammates and plenty more. Many phans seemed to adore the Lakewood BlueClaws' fancy "BruceClaws" jerseys (pictured above) that the team wore on Bruce Springsteen appreciation night. With that in mind, I was sure to capture some photographs for those same people, so that they didn't miss the defending South Atlantic League champions' latest wardrobe variance.
