Cornelius Randolph, image- Jay Floyd On Sunday, the Adelaide Giants of the Australian Baseball League announced that Phillies outfield prospect Cornelius Randolph will be part of their team for the coming season. Supporters of my Patreon site were aware of that news nine days ago.   The 23-year-old Georgia native was the Phils' first round draft selection in 2015.  In his five minor league seasons, Randolph sports a .255 batting average with 31 home runs, 190 RBI and a .719 OPS.   Randolph's 2018 and 2019 seasons were spent playing for Double-A Reading. So you've been wondering about off-season baseball leagues and how Phillies players are doing. Well, except for the Arizona Fall League , which started and ended its schedule earlier than normal this year, there has been very limited action thus far. Deivy Grullon, image- Jay Floyd The Dominican Winter League features Deivy Grullon competing for the Aguilas. In just four games, the catcher has posted a .143 average with two RBI. Roughly 10 days into its schedule, the Venezuelan Winter League hasn't seen any Phillies impact. Catcher Gregori Rivero, who played in the Phils system last year, is 0-for-1 with a walk for Zulia. The other leagues in Australia and Puerto Rico are set to open their schedules soon. On Friday night, the Roberto Clemente League in Puerto Rico will get underway. Tyler Carr, image- Jay Floyd Righty reliever Tyler Carr was already enjoying a very successful season in the Phillies' organization when he contributed three frames to the Class A Advanced Clearwater Threshers' no-hitter on Saturday night.  Now, even the organization's big league manager is recognizing his efforts. After opening the season with Class A Lakewood and looking strong out of that club's bullpen, the 23-year-old was promoted to Clearwater, where he has continued to shine.. Carr, who was the Phillies' 31st round draft selection last year out of South Alabama, helped starter Kyle Glogoski and bullpen mate Keylan Killgore in tossing the team's first nine inning no-hitter since July 2016. In 20 total appearances this season, Carr, who is listed at five-feet-10, 175 pounds, sports a 3-1 record with two saves, a 1.25 ERA, a .197 batting average against and a 9.0 K/9 mark. Alec Bohm, image- Jay Floyd News landed on Thursday evening that third baseman Alec Bohm would be moving up from Class A Advanced Clearwater to Double-A Reading. Bohm, the Phillies' first round draft choice last year, opened the season with Class A Lakewood and was promoted to Clearwater after a scorching April in which he batted .367 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 22 games.  In 40 games with the Threshers, the 22-year-old batted .329 with four homers and 27 RBI.  At the rate he is progressing, it won't be long before Bohm is making an impact with the best sportsbooks . A move to make room with Reading saw Austin Listi moving up to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Overall this season, Listi's offensive efforts (.220/.339/.364) aren't great, but he has been hot in June, slashing at a .328/.406/.552 clip in 19 games this month with the Fightins. Kyle Glogoski, image- Jay Floyd Right-hander Kyle Glogoski has been nothing short of outstanding since joining the Class A Lakewood BlueClaws earlier this month.  Using deception and a solid repertoire, the six-foot-two 183 pounder has tallied a 2-1 record with a 0.55 ERA and a .123 batting average against in five outings in the South Atlantic League. On Saturday, the talented 20-year-old retired the first 12 batters he faced against the White Sox affiliate Kannapolis Intimidators.  In five innings of work, Glogoski cruised, striking out 11 and allowing no walks or runs while surrendering just two hits. "He was outstanding," said Lakewood manager Mike Micucci following Saturday's match up.  "The fastball was really electric and had a lot of jump to it, you know, a lot of ride going there, so he was able to elevate the ball and get a lot of swings elevated in the zone and get some chases up there as well.  And I think he did a good job especially the second ...

Hockenberry, in his second season as a professional coach, was the Phillies' 9th round pick out of Temple University in 2014.  He pitched for four seasons in the minors before making his coaching debut with the Gulf Coast League Phillies West team last year. Matt Kroon, image- Jay Floyd LAKEWOOD-- Matt Kroon 's first home run of the season plated three in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Class A BlueClaws a 4-3 victory over Hagerstown on Tuesday night at FirstEnergy Park. Kroon's big fly came against Suns relief pitcher Ryan Tapani. Following the game, the 22-year-old righty batter, Kroon, stated that his game plan heading into the at bat, with his team trailing by a pair of runs, was finding a pitch to drive.  The result, however, surprised even the young Phillies prospect. "Having zero home runs on the season, I had no thought in my head whatsoever that I'm gonna go up there and hit a three-run home run," said Kroon.  "Funny things happen in this game.  Thankfully, it was able to happen to me tonight."
