Local Philly guy Jeff Singer is back in his home region due to the coronavirus outbreak and the delay it has caused to the 2020 season.  Prior to the pre-season being halted, the 26-year-old got some time on the bump with the big league team in spring training. In Grapefruit League player, the lefty pitcher notched two scoreless appearances for the Phillies this spring. Last season in 42 relief outings with Double-A Reading Singer, who was signed as a free agent in 2015, posted a 7-0 record with three saves, a 2.34 ERA, a 10.8 K/9 mark and a .180 batting average against. Crawford and Thompson off to weak starts in 2017

JP Crawford, image- Jay Floyd One of the primary stories out of the Phillies developmental levels in the early going this season is the weak offensive production of minor league shortstop J.P. Crawford and two poor outings from promising hurler Jake Thompson . Crawford, the organization's first round draft choice in 2013, is among the youngest players in the Triple-A International League, at 22 years old. Frosty Phillies Favorites: 2016 Player Christmas Survey

Everybody loves the holidays and, of course, baseball players are no exception. Players taking part in this year's seventh annual Christmas questionnaire include 2015 first round draft choice outfielder Cornelius Randolph, IronPigs infielder Jesmuel Valentin, first base prospect Rhys Hoskins, along with pitching prospects Luke Leftwich, Zach Morris and Jeff Singer. Questions and answers listing each player’s holly jolly holiday favorites are ahead… - What is your favorite Christmas movie or TV special? Randolph- Polar Express!  I just like the Christmas kind of vibe that goes to it.  Like, I've been watching it since I was younger.  It was something that me and my mom used to watch.  It's pretty much like a tradition now. Valentin- I like Bad Santa. Hoskins- I'm gonna go Christmas Vacation or Elf.  I'd say both of them ...
