According to several reports, homicide detectives are investigating the death of
a man fatally injured in a Citizens Bank Park parking lot melee while a Phillies
game was in progress.Police say it began at McFaddens Restaurant at the ballpark
around 7:00 p.m.Officials say there was a bachelor party going on at the
restaurant when the trouble began.The fight, involving as many as 30 people,
went outside to Lot M at 7th Street and Pattison Avenue.Police say a 22-year-old
man was assaulted in the parking lot outside the ballpark.The game between the
Phillies and the St. Louis Cardinals was in the 8th inning when the assault
occurred.The man was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania
where he was pronounced dead.
