Phillies pitching prospect Justin De Fratus is in the midst of a string of successful outings for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. In his last six appearances, the right-handed reliever has posted a 2-0 record with a 1.93 ERA while striking out 13 batters in 9 1/3 innings.
Overall this season, combined at Double A Reading and Triple A Lehigh Valley, De Fratus is 6-0 with a 2.81 ERA with 61 strike outs in 48 innings.
De Fratus, who was an 11th round draft pick in 2007, took some time recently to sit down and answer some questions. Excerpts of that interview can be heard in the media player below.
