PNTV Interview: SS Prospect Roman Quinn

Recently, I had to opportunity to film some interviews for Phillies Nation TV at the open pratice and media day for the Phillies Class A affiliate in Lakewood, NJ. Included among those segments was a conversation with 2011 second round draft pick Roman Quinn. The switch-hitting shortstop is off to a solid start with Lakewood, sporting a .250 average with three doubles, a homer, five RBI and six stolen bases through 13 contests this month. The 19-year-old Quinn was ranked as the 8th best prospect in the Phils' system prior to the season.

In this uncut version on the interview, which includes a small misstep thanks to some background noise, Roman chats about his draft experience, playing for BlueClaws manager Mickey Morandini and plenty more. With a massively impressive campaign in 2011 for the Class A Advanced Clearwater Threshers, right-handed starting pitcher Trevor May locked down his spot as Philadelphia's top prospect and is on the fast track toward the big leagues. Weekend greetings to you phine pholks out there. Today's post features pictures of rappers wearing Phillies caps. Why rappers in Phillies caps, you ask? Because... Any other questions? We will start things off properly by going with a highly recognizable hip hop star. 50 Cent stays constantly relavant by consistantly creating radio friendly material to help sell (G) units, while he "keeps it real" by still rapping about the thug life he lived before becoming the 2nd highest earning black entertainer in America. 50 is seen here in a recent interview rocking a throw-back Phillies cap.
