The Second Place New York Mess, Sucking Annually

Well, the Mets are at it again...stinking up New York, the NL East and all of MLB. This time it's not with their miserable September play, it's with their crummy uniform decor. The Metropolitans are accessorizing their home jerseys this year with a comemorative patch to celebrate their new home, CitiField.

Allow me to present to the Phillies Phaitful the fresh new uniform addition that the NY Metropolitans will have for 2009. This awful image to the right is really what the Metropolitans intend to have on their jersey
sleeve this coming season...

Amatuerish? To say the least. How about that world class franchise across town? They are going to have a new ballpark as well. What might their patch look like? Have a glance...

It is a shame really. The Mets think their Dominos Pizza logo looking art work is sufficient enough to represent what kind of corporate baseball giant they are presenting the world. They are clueless. It screams out, "We deliver hot and fresh in 30 minutes. If not, don't worry...there's always next year." Are the Mets now going to have The Noid replace Mr. Met?

To compare the bootleg appearance of the Metropolitans' new sleeve patch to another properly run ball club, here is the Phillies' patch from when they debuted their current home, Citizens Bank Park.

Perhaps I have overreacted. I mean, maybe it is a beautiful logo and I am being too hasty. I mean, that fresh new design along with a microwave oven and an Atari video game console should really make ShitiField a nice place for the Mess to call home. Seriously though, the Metropolitans just continue to add to the list of reasons why they are lower class citizens in their city, their division and their sport.

Dear Mess, Here is the official PhoulBallz.com remix version of your sweet new sleeve patch. Use it with my greatest approval. No fee. Your immense awesomeness is payment enough. Thanks for being you.

Love, Jay Ballz

I am pulling for the new patch! that way when they are asked by SportsCenter why they suck so bad in April they can just turn their shoulders and we wont have to hear that horrible New York accent they have!

2022 Top Phillies Prospects Countdown: #13 OF Ethan Wilson

Taken with the Phillies' second round draft pick (49th overall) last year, outfielder Ethan Wilson has landed among the top prospects in the organization. A co-freshman of the year in 2019, with South Alabama, Wilson has been on the radar of some big league teams for quite a while.  In his junior season last year, Wilson batted .313 with seven home runs and 30 RBI.  When his collegiate season was through, the lefty hitter quickly debuted in the minors.   In 30 games with Class A Clearwater last year, Wilson tallied a .215 average with three homers, 17 RBI and two steals. Listed at six-foot-one, 210-pounds, Wilson opened the 2022 campaign with Class A Advanced Jersey Shore.  The 22-year-old has been slow to start offensively, but confidence and poise are not a problem for this strong, promising individual. On the base paths, Wilson is quick and can contribute with his feet.  Defensively, the Alabama native will likely play left or right field moving forward.  Possessing an ability t

Ryan Madson is acting questionable

I've seen similar types of "poking fun" entries on other Phillies blogs. When this picture came across my desk today, I figured, "Why not...?" Ryan Madson was out on the town (Manayunk) over the weekend and was photographed acting pretty with a purse slung over his shoulder and being chummy with a friend of mine. Can I really call him a friend, if he's actually my friends' friend , and I only prank called him once? Sure, why the heck not?!
