Greatest Comeback I've Ever Witnessed

I was lucky enough to be in the building for the Phillies' game 4 NLCS walk off victory. I would like to write about it as though I'm reporting on it. I'd love to be able to jot down a story and go off to bed, like I did after game 3, but I don't think that is possible. I feel like I did last year following game 5.2 of the World Series. I was up all night, unable to come down off of that Phillies high. I have the same feeling right now.

You all know what happened. I don't need to tell you all a story about the game. It's very likely you've got the image of Jimmy Rollins lacing that double off Jonathan Broxton burned in you brain, frame by frame already. I know I do.

With two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, my lady began to collect her things, strapping her purse on across herself. I shot her a quick look as though to convey, "What are you doing?" She shot back, "I'm getting ready to go." I replied, "I'm getting ready to WIN!" Wow!

There isn't a single detail about this night that isn't vivid in my mind right now and I want it to stay that way. The roller coaster ride was tremendous. Ryan Howard, Joe Blanton, James Loney, Matt Kemp, Casey Blake, Chase Utley, Manny Ramirez, George Sherrill, Brad Lidge, Jonathan Broxton, Matt Stairs, Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Ruiz!

I have never had more fun driving home from a game. I jumped from station to station on the radio listening to Scott Franzke's call over and over, pumping my fist each time I heard Larry Andersen yipping and wooing in the back ground.

As I write this, I continue to look over at the TV, MLB Network and ESPNews are my best friends right now. Time is going by quicker than I'd prefer. It's very late...and while the Phillies high is not wearing off, sleepy eyes are starting to set in and I am wondering if my tired body will bother me more tomorrow than my 150+ times high fived hand is bothering me right now. Watch Out For the Bat Boy

Stop ice grillin' the Phillies players, bat boy. I am watching YOU. I don't know what is on your mind, bat boy, but don't even think about doing something slick. You might wear the Phillies' uniform, but it is clear that you are a Yankees fan. It's all over your pale little "I wanna grow up to be like the Robert De Niro character in The Fan " face. World Series Preview: Phillies vs. Astros

The Fall Classic is set to get underway on Friday with the Phillies opening on the road to take on the Astros in a best-of-seven series. This year marks 75 years since the first time a World Series was televised and this year each game will be broadcast on the FOX television network. ESPN will have the radio broadcast and that feed can be streamed by using this link . Game 1 Friday, 8:03pm Eastern....in Houston. RHP Aaron Nola (11-13, 3.25 ERA) vs. RHP Justin Verlander (18-4, 1.75 ERA). In 16 road starts during the regular season this year, Nola notched a 5-9 record with a 3.00 ERA. Nola has struck out 18 and walked three in 17 1/3 innings pitched this postseason. Earlier this month, Nola tossed 6 2/3 scoreless innings at Houston. Ladies and gentlemen, there are 5 days left till Hannukah, 9 days left till Christmas and 16 days left till the premiere of the MLB Network. It's about time.
