Support PhoulBallz & Its Mascot

For those of you that regularly check out this site and enjoy the exclusive minor league focused content that it serves up, I want to thank you. PhoulBallz.com began as a hobby for me and has developed into a very enjoyable side gig that comes with some nice perks, but doesn't quite fatten the wallet in a considerable fashion.

That leads me to letting you all know of a personal situation that has already impacted my family financially and could affect my ability to continue on with this site.

This week, my dog Rocky underwent an expensive surgery to remove a mass in his abdomen as well as his spleen. While doctors believe Rocky has cancer, the Independence Day holiday has delayed a full and accurate diagnosis of the issue that has potentially affected his liver. As recently as Sunday, Rocky had been playing fetch and was acting normally, but on Monday he had great difficulty walking and it became clear something was wrong. Doctors quickly confirmed he had internal bleeding and emergency surgery was required. Rocky will continue to rack up pricey medical bills as he battles the ailments that have stricken him in such a sudden fashion.

Rocky is a dynamic boy that is fun, friendly and loving. If you've ever enjoyed this site, or simply feel generous, and can afford to contribute toward Rocky's growing medical bills, your assistance would be greatly appreciated by my sweet boy and his family.

Again, thank you all for your support of PhoulBallz.com in the past, present and in the future. You can help Rocky via PayPal by clicking the button below.

**Update and thanks. Rocky has passed away. The old boy returned home following his surgery and his time in ICU, but his life did not last as long as we had hoped. We greatly appreciate any and all support offered by many of you, whether it was via donation, prayers, retweet or otherwise. Rocky was a big part of my family for over a decade and he will be missed tremendously.**

2022 Top Phillies Prospects Countdown: #13 OF Ethan Wilson

Taken with the Phillies' second round draft pick (49th overall) last year, outfielder Ethan Wilson has landed among the top prospects in the organization. A co-freshman of the year in 2019, with South Alabama, Wilson has been on the radar of some big league teams for quite a while.  In his junior season last year, Wilson batted .313 with seven home runs and 30 RBI.  When his collegiate season was through, the lefty hitter quickly debuted in the minors.   In 30 games with Class A Clearwater last year, Wilson tallied a .215 average with three homers, 17 RBI and two steals. Listed at six-foot-one, 210-pounds, Wilson opened the 2022 campaign with Class A Advanced Jersey Shore.  The 22-year-old has been slow to start offensively, but confidence and poise are not a problem for this strong, promising individual. On the base paths, Wilson is quick and can contribute with his feet.  Defensively, the Alabama native will likely play left or right field moving forward.  Possessing an ability t

Ryan Madson is acting questionable

I've seen similar types of "poking fun" entries on other Phillies blogs. When this picture came across my desk today, I figured, "Why not...?" Ryan Madson was out on the town (Manayunk) over the weekend and was photographed acting pretty with a purse slung over his shoulder and being chummy with a friend of mine. Can I really call him a friend, if he's actually my friends' friend , and I only prank called him once? Sure, why the heck not?!
