Jesse Biddle vs. Eduardo Nunez Video Footage

Lefty pitching prospect Jesse Biddle had another very good outing on Thursday in Trenton, as the 21-year-old allowed just one earned run and three hits while striking out nine batters and walking one in six innings of work to help the Double-A Reading Fightins defeats the Yankees affiliate Thunder by a score of 5-4.

The Thunder lineup featured rehabbing big leaguer Eduardo Nunez, who went 0-for-3 with a strike out against Biddle, the Phillies' 1st round draft choice from 2010.

Overall in 16 starts for Reading this year, Biddle has a 3-8 record along with a 3.09 ERA and a 9.84 K/9 mark.

Check out the video player below for all three of Nunez's at bats against Biddle.  Footage of the second at bat, the strike out, begins with a 0-1 count.

He has a great pace of play. I don't expect to many 3 1/2 hour games when he's pitching. To bad the pen couldn't hold this on for him.

Rappers in Phillies Caps

Next up we'll use a throw-back screen cap from what may be the very first major appearance by a rapper wearing Phillies gear. Chuck D, of legendary rap group Public Enemy, wore a Phillies cap in the music video for rap anthem Fight The Power in 1989. The song was the lead single from the soundtrack for Spike Lee's film Do The Right Thing . Next up we'll go with some home grown tal...

Ryan Madson is acting questionable

I've seen similar types of "poking fun" entries on other Phillies blogs. When this picture came across my desk today, I figured, "Why not...?" Ryan Madson was out on the town (Manayunk) over the weekend and was photographed acting pretty with a purse slung over his shoulder and being chummy with a friend of mine. Can I really call him a friend, if he's actually my friends' friend , and I only prank called him once? Sure, why the heck not?!
